Jean-Michel Basquiat took the New York and pop culture art scene by storm in the 1980’s, defying cultural and professional stereotypes of his time. He quickly became famous for his mixed-media artwork pulling inspiration from life in the city, pop culture, jazz, sports figures and anatomical drawings.
During this paint night, you will learn more about the works of Basquiat and create your own 12” mixed media piece using collage, paint and pastels.
Small food and drinks are welcome in the studio
