Join Culpeper Renaissance, Inc. and the Town of Culpeper’s Tourism and Economic Development Department to celebrate 1st Fridays in 2023, during summer months, June, July and August. With street closures from 4pm to 8pm on East Davis and in front of the Depot, you are sure to enjoy a fun street festival vibe, while strolling safely. Delight in family friendly activities, entertainment and merchant specials throughout the day, into the evening, in charming, historic Culpeper Downtown!

Discover local artists, enjoy musical performances, shop ‘till you drop, sample fine wines and crisp brews, savor delicious foods and more. There is something fun to see or experience around every corner in Culpeper Downtown on 1st Fridays! July 7th get a jump start on your holiday shopping while enjoying Sidewalk Sales galore! August 4th, we will Chalk up the Summer by inviting art to take over Culpeper Downtown!

Culpeper Renaissance Inc. is hosting a Culpeper Downtown Chalktastic Art Drawing Contest August 4 from 4:30-7pm during 1st Friday Culpeper Downtown – August 2023!

This is a FREE all-ages chalk art contest! Each participant will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in a 4×4 foot concrete square at the Visitor’s Center.

Prizes will be awarded in each age group & Overall Facebook People’s Choice.
