Earth Day!
The Planet Earth has been around for millennia but Earth Day has only been a holiday since 1970. Established in the United States to raise awareness about environmental issues, it is a global celebration today. Participants will learn about environmental impacts and things they can do at home to help. They will make a recycling craft to take home.
“Elementary Explorers” is an interactive series of children’s programming that brings fun facts and activities out of the past!
The series, targeted at ages 5-9, will be held monthly. Each month will feature a different activity and craft inspired by local history.
A Parent/guardian must accompany their children.
This program is FREE thanks to a Power of Change grant from the Rappahannock Electric Cooperative.
THIS EVENT IS STRICTLY LIMITED TO 15 CHILDREN. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!
Participants may be photographed for use in museum promotional and marketing material.
